The Psychological Assessment & Research Branch (PARB) in MOE is currently looking for Research Assistants for the period of 9 Dec 2013 – 10 Jan 2014!

PARB is a Research and Development unit in the Education Services Division (ESD) of the Ministry of Education (MOE). PARB is involved in highly specialised and challenging psycho-educational research and test development projects that will be used to inform practice and policy formulation in MOE.

Main Responsibilities of an RA
As an RA, you will be helping us with writing literature searches / reviews and primers / guides in support of our psycho-educational research and test development projects. This will be a good opportunity for you to learn about how psycho-educational research can contribute to decision-making in policy and practice in the Ministry.

Requirements: Who are we looking for?
We are looking for undergraduates (have completed Year 2 and above) or graduates with good critical and analytical thinking skills, and good writing and presentation skills. Experience in psychological research is a plus. Only Singaporeans or Singapore Permanent Residents need apply.

  • ·         A short Cover Note (of about 150 words), detailing why you would like to apply as a Research Assistant with us, and your relevant research experience;
  • ·         Curricular Vitae (CV), with information about educational background (Secondary to University), research competencies and experience, and relevant working and research experience; and
  • ·         Your unofficial university educational transcripts, detailing the modules you have covered in university and corresponding grades.
