WHO WE ARE
The NUS Psychology Society (established in 2006) caters to the welfare and academic needs of Psychology students. The society runs on the following main objectives:
– To build a sense of community among Psychology students outside of modules;
– To provide guidance for current and prospective students on the study of Psychology and future careers; and
– To foster a greater awareness of mental health amongst the student body
WHAT WE DO
We provide support for current psychology students on two fronts; academics and welfare.
Academics:
– Academic support on modules through compilation of module reviews
– Career/Internship related guides for psychology majors
– Career sharing sessions & Site Visits to places of work
Welfare:
– Building a sense of community through NUS Psychology merchandise and community engagement
– Catering to our community’s well-being through Psychology Appreciation Week (PAW), with welfare pack distributions
We also provide support for prospective psychology students, through:
– Bonding new batches of freshies through our annual Psychology Camp
– Answering academic related queries on the CHS curriculum and the psychology major
THE 17TH EXCO
The 17th NUS Psychology Society Executive Committee is the representative voice for our Psychology Community. The Executive Committee seeks to benefit our Psychology Community by:
(a) Listening more to the needs of the psychology community;
(b) Forming a closer psychology community; and
(c) Providing stronger support for current and prospective students in Psychology
