Welcome to the official website for NUS Psychology Society!
Psychology – the scientific study of the human mind
The Psychology Society is a student-led body that acts as bridge between Psychology majors, Psychology major alumnus, the Psychology Department as well as various external organisations. It aims to promote Psychology not just to Psychology students but for anyone and everyone who has an interest in Psychology. It also aims to promote the welfare of current members of Psychology society and to create a tight-knit group of like-minded individuals.
This year, we plan to bring back everything we love from last year such as the popular Prison tours, IMH tours and Lab tours for anyone interested in what we really do (besides reading your mind of course). We’ve also lined up a series of academic talks for you to be more exposed and informed on the career prospects in the field of Psychology. For students who wish to give back to society (and not our own), we’ve still got volunteer opportunities with organizations such as the National Kidney Foundation (NKF) and the Institute of Mental Health (IMH). For those of you still not drawn in by our extensive list of benefits, we’re still having our Psychology Appreciation Week (PAW) which includes Wear-Your-Psych-Shirt Day, Welfare Pack Distributions and Appreciation Letters to Staff and more!
Of course, you must first be a member if you are wish to be informed and to have priority for these events. It’s simple! Send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org indicating your interest to be a member and for just $5 you get a lifetime membership! Our pre-requisites, being a Psychology society, is that you must have a mind! Otherwise, we gladly welcome all NUS students, regardless of their major, into the Society, so we hope you would join us soon!
For anyone who feels that they can and they wish to contribute to the society in one way or another, let us know by sending an email to email@example.com. We are always looking for new members, event helpers, and even ideas! Thank you for your continued support in Psychology society and we wish everyone the best for the year ahead of us!
A bird that does not believe it can fly eventually flies when it stands on the edge and is pushed off by those who believed in it.
