Annual General Meeting 2015

A big welcome to all new members of NUS Psychology Society, and greetings to returning seniors! As the first semester of the new academic year begins, we too begin with a fresh start and a brand new outlook for things in the upcoming year. The 9th Executive Committee would like to thank all members for your support at all our events in the AY14/15!

Thus, we would like to invite all our members to the last event of our term, NUS Psychology Society Annual General Meeting 2015 (AGM) on 3rd September, 6:30pm at AS1 #02-05. We will be giving you updates on what we have done in our term, and what you can expect in the upcoming year. We will also be holding the annual Executive Committee elections during the AGM to elect our new office bearers.

All members who attend the AGM will be entitled to decide who to be selected for the upcoming committee. Dinner will be provided for all attendees, so we hope to see you guys at the event!

Elections 2015

Dear members,

Thank you for your support for thus far! We hope you enjoyed the events we have organised in the past academic year.

The time has come for the 9th Executive Committee to step down so that others would get a chance to take up our positions.


From 6 August (Thursday) to 25 August 2014 (Tuesday) 1800 hrs, nominations for the 10th Executive Committee will be open.

If you have someone in mind to nominate, or would like to step up and nominate yourself, please fill in and submit the application form at the following link anytime during the nomination period. More submission details can be found on the form itself.

Freshmen CORS Bidding Assistance Session

Dear members,

Worried about your first ever CORS Bidding as a freshman?

NUS Psychology Society will be holding a ‘live’ coaching session just for you!

We will teach you how to secure your modules for your first semester in NUS. Seniors will also share tips on the modules planning to make your university years more enjoyable!

Come join us! Feel free to invite your friends along, especially if they are interested to major in Psychology as well! Seniors, we would appreciate if you can share this information to any of your beloved freshmen juniors in case they are not aware.

NUS Psychology Lab Tour 2015!

Lab Tour 2015-2

Dear NUS Psychology Society members,

Lab Tour is back!

Sign up if you are interested in learning about the different specializations of research in Psychology, how the labs function, and if you want to gain a better understanding of the lab modules you will soon have to take!

Date: 13th July 2015 (Monday)
Programme: Infant Lab, Psycholinguistics Lab and Industrial-Organizational Lab
Time: 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
Meeting venue: Outside LT 8

Please note that spaces are limited and allocation will be made on a first-come-first-serve basis. Members will be given priority during the allocation of vacancies for the tour. A confirmation email with additional details will be sent to those who have been reserved a spot. As such, please look out for an email closer to the date of the tour. 🙂

Application will close either on 10th July 2015 (Friday) 11PM or once all the slots have been taken up!

Due to the limited availability of the slots, please only sign up if you can make it for the aforementioned date. NUS Psychology society reserves the right to curtail the privileges of members whose irresponsible behaviour deprives others of the opportunity to attend the event.

Hurray! Another Psychology Appreciation Week!

Hello all!

We know everyone is looking forward to summer, and we are too! Here’s a boost before the last hurrah for AY14/15!

PAW 1415 S2As with last semester, this event will combine our Welfare Pack Distribution as well as our Wear-Your-Psych-Shirt Week, so do remember to collect your welfare perks and wear your Psych Shirt next week!

To collect your welfare pack, simply present your matriculation/membership card to collect your welfare pack at our booth along AS6 Walkway (benches 19, 20 & 21), on 1st and 2nd April, 10am – 4pm. If your friends are interested, they can sign-up on the spot to receive a welfare pack and membership card along with lots of other benefits! A lifetime membership costs $5.

Come collect your welfare packs before they vanish!! *swish*
