Okay, okay we’re kidding. We’ll pick it up. No littering, members!
The Annual General Meeting has just ended, and the new 11th Executive Committee has been revealed. Look forward to the next e-mail blast, where the 11th Exco will introduce themselves and their roles to you. Please do continue supporting Psychology Society and the 11th Exco in the following semesters.
As the 10th Executive Committee, this will be our last e-mail to you. ):
But of course, you guys wouldn’t want to read a long chunk of text of us saying goodbye right? So we’ll just get to the point and say: thank you so much for supporting us in the past year. Despite all the blood, sweat, and tears, we really enjoyed planning events and helping Psychology Society to grow further.

We will teach you how to secure your modules for your first semester in NUS. Seniors will also share tips on the modules planning to make your university years more enjoyable!

Dear NUS Psychology Society members,

Attention all – especially those who are in Year 2 and 3: Lab Tours are back!

Sign up if you are interested in learning about the different specializations of research in Psychology, how the labs function, and if you want to gain a better understanding of the lab modules you will soon have to take!

Here are the details:

Day 1: 10 July (Thursday)
Programme: Infant Lab, Memory and Speech Lab.
Time: (Group 1) 11:45 – 1pm | (Group 2) 11:45 – 1:15 pm
Meeting venue: Outside LT 8

Day 2: 11 July (Friday)
Programme: Adolescent Psychology Lab, Cardiovascular psychophysiology Lab, Industrial- Organizational Psychology Lab.
Time: (Group 1) 11:45 – 1:45pm | (Group 2) 11:30 – 1:30 pm
Meeting venue: Outside LT 8

Please note that spaces are limited and allocation will be made on a first-come-first-serve basis. Members will be given priority during the allocation of vacancies for the tour. A confirmation email with additional details will be sent to those who have been reserved a spot. As such, please look out for an email closer to the date of the tour.

Application will close either on 5 July (Saturday) 11AM or once all the slots have been taken up!

Due to the limited availability of the slots, please only sign up if you can make it for the aforementioned date. NUS Psychology society reserves the right to curtail the privileges of members whose irresponsible behaviour deprives others of the opportunity to attend the event.

Come down for a talk by NUS’s own director of graduate studies and engage friendly seniors in small group sharing sessions to clarify whatever doubts you may have!

We have invited 5 seniors currently pursuing their post-graduate degrees whose interests lie in the following fields:

Here’s your chance to learn more about mental health issues from the perspectives of those on the ground!

2 peer specialists, who have since recovered from Major Depression Disorder and Psychosis, would be glad to share their journey and insights. Also with us is a professional who will be keen to share her working experiences with regards to mental health issues. Mr. Lee Li Neng is also invited to offer additional input during the sharing and discussion.

Our annual talks see distinguished speakers from various fields of psychology coming down to share more with you about their field and what they do. This year, we have 4 exciting talks lined up for you from 10 Feb to 13 Feb 2014.

NUS Psychology Society members have FREE access to ALL talks! Tickets are priced at $2 per talk for non-members.

Tickets will be sold and distributed on 4 Feb (Tue) and 5 Feb (Wed) at Study Benches 20-21 (along AS6 Walkway) from 10am – 5pm!

You are advised to collect/buy your tickets on 4 – 5 Feb even if you are a member of Psychology Society. Tickets might NOT be distributed/sold at the door if the venue is already full. Kindly let us know which of the talks you will be attending at the booth and we will indicate on your ticket which talks you have signed up for.
